How the hell do things like this or the other similar manga (Ijousha no ai) have an audience?

Do the people reading & making this look away from their PC and think "You know ... The world needs more depictions of inhumane behaviour!".

Why do people get so triggered over this? It's obvious this is targeted at a very "specific" audience. Granted there's not much of a plot, but there's plenty of trash ecchi/horror/isekai mangas that are just as bad.

@criver agreed. Whatever the story is, the art alone raises this above the 1 star rating. People need to read more diverse manga to have a better sense at rating these.
@Comrade-Sandvich your expectations for the feminine high-school boy are somewhat unrealistic. Poor kid got bashed in the head with a baseball bat in his own home. Then a bunch of unknown adults in clearly high class basement, with the only familiar person being his crush/teacher who he held faith in.
@Tanterei have you actually looked at the real world and the "inhumane" cases that happen around it every day? Read any history books? The whole term "inhuman" is almost sarcastic, as our species is the one taking suffering to new levels. Plenty of award winning literature contains depictions of cruelty as well. (Granted they're rarely the sole focus, but based off the first chapters of this series, neither it's in this? At least the setting was set...)

1. he didn't have much resistance , didn't bleed heavily , didn't break both physically and mentally , and just biding for time by submitting while he is by nature submissive , it is as almost he is happy to be tortured which is the worst thing a torture manga can offer , and also which this manga barely dodge
2. it severely lack of emotion , i can only imagine if the author is a closet M
3. it doesn't have any class , i mean torturing a submissive bastard just because he is cute , yuck , even overlord despite it's wholesome-ness , they have fill more than enough point to pique the reader's interest and imagination just by having some little narrative , now that's classy

well it still torture manga ... i have hope that author can fill at least some classy motive-driven story and or main character development to fill the least three void i've point then at least i can begin to enjoy and appreciate

okay that concludes the torture philosophical 101 class ... Class dismissed !

The criticism here is amusing though. Similar manga with reversed roles (Prison Lab) or just degenerate shit (Dead Tube) is somehow well received/ignored. If anything, this one is rather tame in comparison.
I'd expect this kind of triggered reaction from twitter, not from a manga community.

I usually only see this level of rage on the comment section of an NTR doujin or these GirlForM doujins where it ends VERY badly for the protagonist.
It's incredible how this manga is triggering the self-inserters.
Yes, the pacing is pretty slow.
Yes, the characters are borderline shallow.
But it definitely doesn't deserve a sub 4 rating when shit like Nisekoi or "generic Isekai featuring Gary stu : the protagonist" are at 7+.

@meinburn as an avid gore fan , especially torture , manga/anime and or real world torture which in this case here is manga , i usually give high rating to vivid torture / gore scene regardless the actual quality , but for this manga at current chapter i can't promise to do that . @MicroPotatoPie is right to call this fetish fuel manga and it is actually better for author to do something like that instead doing "faux" torture manga like this .
