that it ends at 357/358, the tankoubon have added pages that makes the ending better, and that the main plot is resolved (without actually confronting the source), and side plots/targets are simply dropped and disappears.

All the hallmarks of a cancelled series that was forced to conclude, especially with a story that had no problems taking its time with its plotlines.

Concluded doesn't necessarily mean it got it's full run as envisioned by the author.
