Minotaurus' Sweetheart - Ch. 9

I understand why that dude's mad at monsters for killing his family, and he's probably just in grief so it makes sense.

Edit: hol up, nvm, I just read the previous chapter and remembered he sacrificed 10 kids. fuk that dude

Just like the wolf blamed all humans for betraying him, he's blaming all monsters for killing his family. Unfortunately not a rare occurrence in the real world either no matter what the target groups happen to be. And fighting those mindsets may sometimes feel like you're against windmills with only a donkey and a wooden lance...

Sadly, the Minotaur and the Heroine are just two more individuals that many will not accept for who they really are.

sure let's just forget about the 10 people he led to their deaths. since he was helping the wolf too, isn't he the same as the monster?

no?

goes to show not everything is so black and white.

i really didn't expect this kind of darkness from this manga when i first started reading this.

I'm glad the survivors didn't ralley with that dude. Half of 'em probably know or understand that he condemned them to that disaster, because he was too afraid to die.

And apparently too morally bankrupt to not desperately try and stab, both people and monsters alike, in the back. His wife and child would be brokenhearted...

Thank you for the chapter Kirei cake!

Can we go back to the fluff please 😢
This manga need the 'drama' tag.....

When will we get a half humanized Mino or a half beastefied Ruvine? I think that way it would be easier for them to like each other.

Or better yet, keep it like this but ad new chara. A half minotaur and half human child from Ruvine and Mino!

@Vasueztion to be entirely fair to him, I don't think it's too abnormal to prioritise the lives of your family over that of strangers

I'm much more fond of this manga than should be possible, after such a small amount of content. Thank you for bringing it to us.

Also, it reminds me of the hypothesis I've heard (which The Order of the Stick openly plays with), that fantasy stories about invariably-evil races (orcs, goblins, etc) are a peek into the same darkness that tries to justify RL racism.

I wonder when they'll send a subjugation squad or start a development plan involving the forest... I wonder which way things will turn then

Such an unfortunate character but—

Yes, he was betrayed by humans. No, his actions are his fault. I pity the man whose wife and child was eaten by that wolf and the rest of the kids that were kidnapped and eaten as well.

Yep, things just went a really dark path recently. I can't feel any sympathy for the wolf after everything he did. He deserved what was coming to him.

I hope the wolf's story about his human treating him as a curiosity to be sold doesn't get repeated with Mino now that the general public knows about him.

At least some of the kids the guy brought were saved. Should still be jailed for kidnapping them to be eaten alive, though.

@Milanin Ruvine's group is the subjugation squad. She just hasn't told anyone that she decided not to kill him until this chapter, and nobody's questioned it as it's probably only been a few days since then.
My question is if she will face backlash for not fulfilling the request, or if it will be reassigned.

@Chizan A Don Quixote reference? I've never seen that before.
I've always wanted an excuse to use this image.
