@Msaid08 Cultures and times differ on this issue. When I was in teens and twenties, going verbal simply didn't work. And trust me I tried, because I'm fundamentally a verbal guy. It's not even that girls were supposed to say no, it's just they were acculturated such that asking felt to them like a loser move and turned them off. It killed the mood. You had to judge the moment and go for the kiss or you'd stay in the friend zone forever. So back then, the line between OK and rapey was sorta . . . subtle. It was about just how you went about moving in; fast and hard so she didn't have a chance to react, or a tight grip, was probably bad. The key was just enough speed to seem confident, but slow enough so she could react and push you back if she wanted to. That's how it was done back in 70s-80s. And Japan always seems about 30-40 years out of date on this stuff, so.

Personally–– my ex and all my other friends in relationships–– our S.O. had always just kissed us out of the blue before we dated (or became "boyfriend/girlfriend") I think it's fine if you both know that that's where it's leading to, or if ya'll had been flirting beforehand and it just came naturally I kind of agree it was a liiiittle out of context here but nonetheless, when the mood is right you just get a gut feeling

@helloharuuu You are kinda right. If you both know you are flirting and the moment leads to that there is no problem(kinda) but If Im not mistaken didn't he say "you can't fall in love with me"? Well that already happened so there is no point to keep this up.

@Purplelibraryguy Yeah man different cultures. You have to kiss without asking If you are dating but they are not even boy told her "don't love me or so". If you kiss a girl before you start dating you are %85 will get slapped and etc. You are right. Culturel difference is a thing and I can't complain.
