Even if a game was out before someone was born, through the magic of emulation (and purchasing on later consoles, which often use emulation too) they can play them. Similar to how you can watch tv and movies or read books or comics that were out before you were born.

For example: Silver or Golden age comics, propoganda films from WW 2.
