A) some of them tried to outright kill him

B) They are there willingly, they can leave whenever without any repercussions.

C) For all of them, their skill in magic has rapidly improved since he arrived, so they regard him as the peak that is too high up but you should always try to aim for.

People forget how Arwin lived before he became where he was. I guess theyll eventually show us his background story in the future. But Latte already mentioned some important things about Arwin from the earliest chapters. We might think he's an asshole who only nice to the person he likes. But think about it, he only does kill people who threatened his life. It's a way of him surviving before and maybe still. A lot of people trying to kill him before because he was powerful and the way to survive was to kill. It either be killed or kill. Remember how in the original story, he took over the tower. Not to become a tyrant. But he removed the corruption that it has. He's always been a common people side. Anything he deem corrupted, he'd fix it just like he did in the magical world. He gave those people a living, made them better magician, etc. So I don't see Arwin as bad as people think he is. He might say he'll kill someone but he hasn't done it, has he? But think about in his stead, someone who is knowledgeable and powerful as a magician, he needs to let people know that he's not easy to get rid of. A lot of people wanted him dead, you know. Arwin only took care of people who are greedy and corrupted. He never hurt someone physically without a reason.

I absolutely love how their relationship is developing,it seems natural (at least i think so) i mean a lot of novels i've seen rush into at least one of the characters falling for the other but here latte thinks he's hot but has no clear romantic interest in him since she thinks it's impossible,and he finds her to be entertaining and he's gradually getting interested in her,idk i find them both to be so lovable lol i also enjoy how latte's friendship is developing with fish No2 it seems kinda wholesome,like i don't ship latte and 2nd fish at all but i love their friendship dynamic

Hahaha this chapter was hilarious .. gandalf face always gets to me .. but seriously latte said in school she fed some fishes .. how come arwin didnt ask her what a school was .. and after reading other peoples comments i also do think that maybe latte isnt the only one who reincarnated maybe ibelin is too.... anyways i am happy to see arwin and latte chapters they are my favorite .. im glad he shows his true self to latte for what i heard in the original story it sounded like he tried to be someone else for ibelin so that kind of relationship sounds forced while this one with latte seems like she influences him in a good way while he is still himself❤ i mean he didnt kill the princes because of her

Have I said how much I absolutely love this author/artist duo?
The story is fantastic, and the artist's abilities to really bring it alive are amazing.
There's just so many weird things that are thrown in that put me in hysterics XD

@chuchuchoerry that would be out of character for Arwin. Also, the mages are not exactly the people who are big on ethics/manners, remember how MORE came flocking to the tower after Arwin kills 1/3 of the tower on inheritance power struggle? they're the kind of people who value power over everything ('please' and 'thank you' probably important to nobles or other people who value manners, but I think not for mages who only cares about spells and researchs and probably adventures fighting monsters as well (oooh, I kinda want to see a story where adventurers visiting the tower of magic)

@Elanska i mean i know its out of character for arwin to do something like that, but it kinda just gets tiring seeing him see be so mean to gandalf and the other elf lookin guy ya know? :/ kinda just want a nice wholesome day off for gandalf cause i just love that guy so much. and yeah mages arent like the most charitable bunch in any iteration of these fics but i meant it as a whole that they should just get treated like humans at least, like in a "mages unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains" way. but yeah, i really wanna see latte and arwin and maybe even fish 2 (forgot his name oops ) go on sick adventures together, no ibelin attached

@chuchuchoerry well, he is established as crude selfish, no-manner person. I meant, in Eirene's street festival when he answers Ibelin he leaves because the play is boring and Kenneth calls him to be considerate of other people's feelings, he's like 'no, that's dumb. I'm gonna call it as i feel it, who cares about your feeling' .

Wayyyyyy back when Ibelin introduces Latte, he directly says in front of them both 'I don't care' - right in the middle of her sentence. He is just that crude

about Ibelin, I think we give her far less credit here. I meant, she doesn't exactly doing evil things to Latte like Peridot (who pulls a nasty false crime charge scheme). She's just........I don't know, want attention? and jealous that Latte have more attention? (not befitting of angelic female lead who always think pure and nice thought but not exactly crazy villain like Peridot either).

P.S. if this is normal shoujo manga, there will be interesting Ibelin-Arwin-Latte triangle relationship. Alas, Arwin will be Arwin and quickly shot down all the drama though ( I meant, the scene at library where he turned away from Ibelin? /normal/ male lead will be like *awkward fidgeting/normal pleasantries that can be taken the wrong way/classic *stumble* and accidentally hug-scene* making Latte worried if he has *FEELINGS* towards her prettier friend *cue agonised drama for several chapters before they ascertain their feelings etc* I think I read too much shoujo dangit
