Honestly, if he really was someone that survived for 100 years he wouldn't hesitate and kill that guy right now and try to absorb his ability if that doesn't work making sure he stays dead for good and his corpse destroyed would also by a wise choice, because this trash may very well be the one stupid enough to die under some zombie get eaten, absorbed and with that create the Undead king.
Someone that knew of that risk, would let him never ever run free.

Next time if the mc will try to recruit some other ppls they will just answer "you're too good to me, i better travel alone", i wouldn't be mad for sure to the author because he didn't even get any decent explanation either of the former 2.

It's RPG party teases, you see them in action "damn I wish they'd join us," then they don't until after some other occurrence. They'll probably meet up again later on, but for now more than the siblings is just useless bloat until the story hits that point I suppose? If they had more people, they'd have to increase the threat level of every battle to keep things interesting after all. The enemies already feel like they're sort of too strong for this soon after the changes to the world.
