Modern MoGal - Ch. 120 - Nostalgic Feeling

"Feel the weight in the palm of your hand!"

I was always surprised at how heavy mouse balls were. They had a nice texture, too.

Guys, remember the days when we had to boil eggs for those balls? Man, and we had to make sure to boil it the right way too. Good times.

I get the feeling waaaay too many people just bought a new trackball mouse instead of opening it up and cleaning it
...course in high school there were issues where kids would steal the balls, rolled em around in the halls and during class, competed to see who could get more without the teachers finding out, and the school eventually...well, I don't actually remember what they did anymore, it wasn't the kids in my year that were the issue and I wasn't the most sociable at the time, but it stopped VERY suddenly so something they did must have worked, then the next year they must have wanted to avoid a repeat cause we suddenly had shiny and very expensive (at the time) laser mice instead and there were constant inspections to make sure those didn't go missing

Ah, trackball mice! I had to clean so many of those back in the day helping out in the school computer lab! Luckily our computer lab was small enough and teachers attentive enough that they weren't usually stealing the trackballs, but I know some other schools in the area had that problem. There was something so satisfying about cleaning those and then having the mouse work better.🤗

Aaaagggghhhh the nostalgia, got me thinking about my old Amiga 500 Tank mouse A01113305.
Almost gave me a semi.

trackball aside every character in this series is super fucking thicc, is this an alternate universe where there are only thicc entities? Even the children are thicc, I bet if I paid more attention other things would be thicc, this whole thing is thicc

Is it coincidence that 8-bit guy did yesterday a episode about computer mouses and today we got this?

There was something oddly satisfying about cleaning that layer of crusted dirt from the internal mouse rollers.
A lot like pulling off that protective plastic cover from a new phone.
Bonus points if you took it out in one single piece.

@Bloddrake
Yeah, I was thinking of the same mouse, I had an Amiga 500+ then a 1200. Recently, I have only used the emulator, and it's not quite the same, especially without the mouse.
