I mean that would make sense... but all a Mirror is is a reflection of light... all a camera is(well the mirrorless ones) is something that takes in light... so I don't get how it differs such as your eye also just taking in light.

@waterflame The difference would be silver being involved or not I guess. It's one of their many weaknesses depending on which variety of vampire we're looking at. In either case, at the end of the day is fictional weaknesses of fictional beings, so anything goes really. Being able to apply logic to it properly might be ideal but with something like this especially I can understand putting the joke ahead of any continuity or such.
