Modern MoGal - Vol. 3 Ch. 40 - One More!

good movie robot revolution idea. It all start with build your waifu robot. The origin sound so stupid, but it work.

the whole point of having a robot do something besides a human is because you dont wanna pay for the work.

So ontop of all of the usual dangers of automation replacing human labour, corporations are incentivised to sell robots to owners who will abuse them, guaranteeing rapid turnover. Lovely.

No, yeah. It's less moe than what we see here, but this is totally a very real dilemma people are dreading in the future.

There are a couple of theoretical solutions, but ultimately it's gonna be messy before it gets better.

I was thinking this the first time, but the idea of paying robots a wage makes no sense. If they don't own themselves, then they don't own their time and labor, which means you'd be paying their owner a wage for any work the robot did. Someone could just tell their robot to go work 24/7 and give the owner all the earnings. Either the robot refuses (violating the ownership contract), or the robot complies (leaving no time to earn their own money).

This makes a robot "buying itself" impossible.

Sold as products/property but can buy back their freedom. Hows does that work? For example, what happens the owner restricts from getting a job or any way of earning income? As property all their earnings would probably go back towards the owner.

@tgb089
Yeah. I don't get it. It feels more like the backing a debt of a person who then works for you to earn money back with some interest. Small personal bank. If this is correct than what is the meaning of owning a robot when he doesn't work directly for you, only indirectly paying you back? It just sounds like meh investment at best for your money and you could do the same thing with humans.

20 to 30? Try 200 to be 300. Not only are we a long long way off from having powerful and compact enough quantum processors, we don't even know what consciousness is!
