I kind of feel sad that, for Jennifer's reason, it's extremely personal. Yes, she says that she specifically hates vampires, but realistically, this would apply to pretty much anyone that can potentially bite and transmit their transformation to her daughter. Even funnier is that it has absolutely nothing to do with the vampire/werewolf dilemma.

God forbid when Wendy grows up and decides to start dating a werewolf boy.

@IJustMadeThisToComment not at all: werewolves are part of the werebeast or lycanthrope family. They are humanoid shapechanger that can transform into one beast form, gaining supernatural physical ability and regeneration. They can either be born lycanthrope or infected with lycanthropy.
Vampires are a type of undead that posses, among a lot of other powers, the ability to change into a bat form. Vampires born from two other vampires are extremely rare, so if the vampire guy is not her sire, she is most likely a dhampir.
