Modern MoGal - Vol. 3 Ch. 57 - Leo and Levia

I have a potentially really stupid complaint: Since the judge and the lawyer have known each other for a long time, would they even be allowed to appear on the same cases (like the Red Talbot assault case in chapter 29) for fear of bias? I know it's a really stupid thing to think, but that just came to mind.

@Psychronia it appears that racial profiling is alive and well in this world, especially among the teachers. For shame.

Little Levia holding that judge's hammer by her tail in that last picture was really adorable

@JunkKing

You're thinking of conflict of interest, and while someone could make a case for that, I doubt it would really hold any sway as that fact has nothing to do with the case. It's their job to remain impartial and while completely isolating our biases is out of the question, for the purposes you're describing it's likely a nonissue.

Case in point: The time a judge met with one of her middle school classmates.

Mind you that was a different situation with different stakes, so don't take my word as rule. Although in line with the spirit of law in a sense, I'm using past cases to back up my stance.

Edit: Don't mind the edit. I forgot the difference between BBCode and HTML.

@Kisato If the comments section had a like button, I'd like your post. Since they don't, I'll just say thank you for your input.

women, some are stupid.

my friend case, they are together for 5 yrs,
they walked around the town together one day, the man met his gf from his highschools day.
he went to greet her and had a conversation for 2-3 minutes. his GF asked who s she?
he thought that there s nothing to hide and said my gf from high school day (he s now 28).
his GF was in a bad mood all of sudden....... WTF?

@skyscar:
Yeah, being miffed about something minor (in most cases it is an infraction, but still just a minor one) and than being pissed about it for the next few hour and turning the whole day bad for not a really good reason. Women do that sometimes, some man do it too and some people do that a lot!
In your friends case she was rightly upset about that (if she feels that way), but she could have told him that. He'd apologise honestly to her and say, that he did thing it would worry her. She'd say it is kind of a minor thing, but she does. She just feels what she feels. He'd look out for that in the future and then both continue to have a great day. You don't just sneak attack a very fine day and your partner like that.

"I'm not interested in men shorter than me."

Godamnit! ><

Joke aside, the wife reacting like a jealous pet was funny. And it's nice to see a bit of the backstory of the characters.

Young Levia is probably thinking: Leo-kun is a complete pervert, he seems to have absolutely no concern whatsoever about looking at girl's panties...

Also interesting to note that it would seem that in the short time that Jennifer worked as Leo's assistant, this meeting seems to imply that Jennifer never met Levia again after her trial. Surprise, surprise...
