It's a slow-life fantasy manga so I don't think they are bad people. It wouldn't be slow-life if there are edgy dark plot that would change the whole story direction and character growth of the MC...

I dont think they are bad because even when he wasnt paying attention to them the familiars did not feel any ill intent, but I think they gonna get attacked and hes gonna have to show the familiars true forms and they will be impressed and keep trying to poach him to join the subjugation guild.

@Nk9bjP4A I think it was more in line of "oh its yours, it was bothering me that a bird was following us". Apparently having a familiar at young age isnt normal, let alone two, and he had one besides him all the time, so the bird seemed suspicious (could be someone else's scouting them).

I know there's a trope of betraying clueless MC in isekai but this manga has "Slow life" in it's name if you didn't notice so probably the worst that will happen is "ohoho you shouldn't have done that!, If you encountered a bad person instead of me you might've been in trouble, here have some money since you're so kind"
