Mofumofu to Isekai Slow Life o Mezashimasu! - Vol. 4 Ch. 17 - With The Dark Merchant And The Elf

Wtf lol

Your companion not only removes your documents from your bag but then reads your private information out as bloody loud as she pleases?!? I’d be pissed
I mean don’t for a second think;
1. Not yours so don’t read
2. He may be keeping his identity secret for a reason
3. Your surrounded by criminal slavers trying to abduct him for sale to powerful nobles and you just increased his net worth thousands of times over.

Sure maybe knowing his association with the hero could dissuade people from trying anything funny but you don’t know for certain.

That one act just dropped her likability substantially. Of course he’ll do nothing, the slavers will go free and she’ll be rewarded. Which isn’t how most people would react, stupid.

@blablablub
It's a Shounen trope. They'll be besties in a few chapters and save the world with the power of friendship!

This manga has taken a nosedive recently. It was pretty decent for the first few chapters.

@Darkblaze6 that is if you think in common knowledge.

The fact that aristocrat talk about it in the open, it's legal. But just frowned upon.
So unless the local Lord has a sense of justice and treats outsiders as equals(mostl likely not)

Anyone outside their influence is fair game.

Sure read a paper from his bag out loud to criminals you intend to let walk away... 😑

@R0dr1g0-Shin
I mean, who wouldn't be rethinking their whole life after just barely escaping from making a literal one man army your personal enemy? Not only that, but he is the same guy that his mom specifically used as an example of a good person, and likely the only one he didn't hate.

WHY?!?! this manga was good but is getting stupid really fast and that elf girl just lost a lot of good will from the readers from her stupid actions.

Dryad Onee-chan?

It feel the end of the chapter is too fast, he go from human traffic to "Mommy was right, I'm a trash" in less than 5 pages...

This story is ruined by the stupid coincidence of fixing everything without killing.....literal criminals just walks away to go continue being criminals

@Macrendil
No, it isn't his job to do any of that. Just because he happened to come across a situation, does not mean he has to act a certain way. For 1, they didn't even do anything wrong, legally speaking, since slavery is most likely legal, given how casual the nobles were when speaking about it. So if he did kill them, he is now the actual criminal for murder. Just because you personally disagree with how someone acts, doesn't mean they have to do it your way either. There is not any obligation for the MC to give them any more of his time.

Another thing, they would have to backtrack, go through legal bullshit, likely get stuck in town as witnesses if there even was a trial, all in the same town where the slaver's were based in. That is literally the worst thing they could do if they want to just really gtfo of the city. If they went back, that would make them a big captive target for even more schemes and harassment.

So just letting them see themselves back is the best thing for them to do. They avoid the hastle of being stuck in the city, and are not branded as murderers.

@Guspaz
Orst isn't like some wanted criminal on the run. He told MC he could use his name. MC choose not to use it just because he just wanted to try doing things by himself.

I hope the next person those slavers enslave thanks arito for letting them go. (While being raped by pedo nobles, obviously)

We just captured a bunch of guys that kidnap children and sell them as sex slaves. So what do we do? Let them go so that they can keep doing it, obviously!

Japan: where sexual abuse doesn't really matter.

So from the picture in the book it seems that he is either a hero pf the high elfs and he looked up to him or there is the possibility that he is his father but then i would be suprised why he didn't ask Arito for his location or such.
