Mokuyoubi wa Kimi to Nakitai - Vol. 1 Ch. 8 - Melancholic Strategy Meeting

Summary: black hair girl is a guy, but black hair guy is a girl, and blonde hair guy likes black hair guy who looks like a girl, and blond hair girl likes girls but also guys and she likes the black hair guy who she didn't know is a girl.

Good plot - IGN

As soon as she asked Kaoru to hook her up with someone who clearly doesn't like her I knew she was a pain in the ass. Senmitsu realized it immediately.

@JaneJeon
Likely she already know that saotome is a girl.
That might be the reason why she wanted to get close to her.
Knowing Saotome herself is popular, i think its quite hinted few times that Reika is Jealous on Kaoru already got close to Saotome.

I'd like to see Senmitsu and Kaoru together in some sort of awkward romantic situation next chapter.

If the translator is reading this: I don't know what was said in the raw, but ナプキン (the English word "napkin") refers to sanitary napkins -- i.e. menstrual pads -- in Japanese, not to something you'd wipe your hands with. That's probably why they're so flustered about using it as an excuse. If the word was "tissue" or something then just ignore me. Thanks!

@xelloslover1996 You are indeed correct. Upon further inspection「ナプキン」refers to both a "tablecloth" and "sanitary napkins [menstrual pads]". My English bias got the better of me, and I assumed the situation was about how Japanese restrooms generally don't have paper towels/hand dryers. In retrospect, Kaoru would've used 「ハンカチーフ」/「ティッシュ」 if that had been the case.

Thank you for pointing this out. The chapter has been updated/corrected. Sorry if this caused any confusion for anyone.

I would like to call someone best boy or best girl but I might be wrong with their gender
