I hate it when genderbenders like this have the FtM character be an overbearing dick, especially with implications that it's okay now for them to "play around" using somebody else's body (and conversely, that it wasn't okay before because they were female). Just because you used to have boobs doesn't mean you aren't a piece of shit, dude. Plus, all the unwanted touching; "It was my body before!" doesn't mean the other person's consent is cancelled.

I think I'm traumatized from that bullshit My Barbaric Girlfriend series.

Akira did have some interesting character growth in that series though. Nanako was just crap for most of it, not until they decided to not go back did she become decent.
Most gender benders unfortunately have the same thing about the former girl feeling like they can do whatever they please while the former boy can't do anything.

@fukai20 I don't think that many people care about or read the author notes anyway. I can speak and read Japanese so I can theoretically read them either way myself, but I literally don't care about author notes enough to ever really read them.

I kind of liked Your & My Secret/My Barbaric Girlfriend but that's probably because at that time, the manga was already over and entirely translated which I could see the development of each characters and didn't stop to the "what's yours is mine, and what's mine is also mine".
Just my opinion, but the flow of the manga is somehow lighten by how supportive Senbongi was toward Akira so it wasn't always cringy. (I don't think I'm expressing well what I'm trying to say)

Here, we would need to wait before we know actual development (if there's one) and it's only the two of them. Might take some times though currently, it's cringy.

@KN-XIII No, I get it. Akira was a charming cinderella of a main character, and Senbongi was genuinely sweet to Akira...if questionably pushy at times.

It's just that Momo is the other half of the series, and never so much as saw any consequences for their utter callousness, if not outright sociopathy. Some of these genderbenders are some kind of toxic mix of traditional misogyny and, for lack of a better term, female privilege. And this one, so far, has not stepped away from that horrible trope.
