@Gasky I think it's because whatever the reason was, that's practically a murder. If later she survives and back to society, she can be charged with it. And even if later she found guilty, people will still labeled her as a murderer as a social punishment and thus make it harder for her to blend with society. Just look at the MC, Saotome.

@RoboMochi self defense law should protect her but I do get the Stigmata from the act. As you mentioned how MC was treated. Also I do imagine it does affect most people mentally
