Go read the novel, the concept is interesting, is a nice read, I will now use spoilers but not really go into spoilers because whats to spoil?

There is no ending, the manga stops at about volume 3 of the novel, apparently most of the story is novel 1 and pulls in parts from 2 and 3 so things are out of order

There is potentially a good ending in the novel but wait for it... the novel is not finished translating, though it is finished. it seems to be 1 chapter every 2 months, but this is something where you get a substantial length of reading, volume t had seemingly 9 chapters rather then some light novels being 30-50

long story short go for the novel, less wasted time, come back and read/skim this after volume 3 is done
