Monogatari no Naka no Hito - Vol. 1 Ch. 4

Finally someone is starting this manga back up. THANK YOU Stone Translation

His hoarding habit causes regression on a massive scale

Thanks for translating this, and I think we all knew from his reaction in the earlier chapter that he had all the magic books. :)

@AbuHajaar nah he just had a flashback in the middle of a muggin.

thanks for the pickup. could use some proofreading and a larger page though. tiny pages always strain my already bad eyes...i should replace these with cyborg camera eyes or something...

IMHO "Mage" would be better than "Wizard"?

Villager #2: I hope you turn into a hamster! And have elderberries shoved up your ass!

Moving on to ch.6 now.

> I was deemed a failure for not having [[SKILLS]] (what the fuck does that even mean?)
>> I have the ability to almost instantly learn and improve any spell I study,
>>> I WAS DEEMED A FAILURE

What the heck was the story even trying to say at this point.

@Solipsist (yes i know this comment is late) thats called bad translation, not a bad story, the translation in this chapter isnt the worst thing ive ever seen but its mediocre, for example you just have to look at the line "I no longer like this town's lord" xD without looking at the raws im assuming he meant that he was deemed a failure because he was unable to create his own spells (assuming they taught theory instead of just reading grimoires) using the knowledge of magic that had been passed on to him by various mages, instead he could only learn OTHER people's spells and then use them, yet it turns out that in doing so he made them better than the original caster could.

Wait so you saying there is only one copy of advance magic? Just because he bought a copy of everything magic now has fallen behind.. What happened to the wizards and their apprentices?
