Monster tamer mcs that actually tame strong monsters

I really love tamers n stuff like that but in alot of mangas that have an mc that is a tamer they always tame weak shits like slimes.
If you had the ability to tame any creature wouldnt you obviously go for strong ones? No matter how many slimes you get they cant kill a dragon that can burn them all instantly.
