If she always is close to him how did she find the time to find another guy or is she just planning to bait the MC? I think it's the former but who knows. I have this feeling that the other guy is a family friend but the engagement real

It's pretty hard to believe that, if she was so close with another guy that they would get engaged, that the MC would never have heard of him before, after all, they've known each other for six years. And you're right, if she's been sticking to the MC like glue the whole time, when did she get to know another guy so intimately. You're probably right about the engagement being real, and the other guy a family friend. But, if so, it still doesn't explain why the MC has never heard of him before.

I find that weird as well but MC also mentioned that he basically knows nothing about her family and her as a person so I have to assume that it always used to be her following him and only talking about him and or school. I'm assuming that she is well off and maybe didn't want others to know due to some negative experience. Even with that it is all a bit too weird for me
