Mother, I'm Sorry - Ch. 12 - Chapter 12

I bet this misunderstanding will grow and grow and then blows up in everyone's faces

I hate the whole lie to protect you thing. Why can no one just be straight up and let the other person decide how they want to handle it...

@AnnaPlayer. If this is about what the MC said, if he said the truth it would just be called a lie and he would still get beat up. How many times in stories where they do the logical thing of speaking the truth does the other party then go “I would expect this from _____ but not from you!”

Or “you think I can’t handle what actually happened you would make up such a blatant lie?”

@AnnaPlayer and @phantom00 true what you both say but if you show proof of what you're saying then the others will have to believe it. Sadly the problem here is that the only proof of her being his mom is her ID but even then the others will think it's fake so....nothing can really be done in that case. But yes, mc could at least try a bit more to not be as dumb as he has shown up until now.

@phantom00
@chenando1
Yeah, agreed, no one would believe him if he just came out and said it, besides he didnt even believe it when Korean Satan appeared infront of him.

Well, whether they believe it or not, I think the minimum he could've done was to at least contact her once and not ghost her...not leaving her there, hanging, you know?

@lexy @chenando1
well the mc did this purposely so the girl could hate him.
People who get hurt by loved ones try to forget the one who hurt them....

Hence instead of telling her the truth that he was dying and making the girl feel sad and helpless (she would definitely feel pathetic, coz she won't be able to change his situation in any way)... it was better to be hated.
You know people with terminal cancer also tends to go with same situation... the air is always filled with gloom... the more person is loved by their family, the more sad and painful it is for the people would beside them...

Hence he tried to act like an asshole, just so she would instead hate him... and after he is gone... the girl would feel less remorseful after he dies rather than she would feel while still in a relationship while blaming herself for not able do anything for him.

The problem isn't that he's lying about this to everyone, since that's the logical step in this situation. The problem is telling different lies to so many different people. This will catch up with him, multiple times I'm sure.

Definitely not trying to sound racist, but don't some Asians look younger than they really are so wouldn't she be able to get away with being called his mom, she did it once at the police station.

@Chococupcake29 not sayin the truth, obviously, cause who the hell can predict an 'accident'....that came from a supernatural being...

I understand you. But, just, cut with her in a distant way or whatever I'm sayin, and that's enough for hatin (for someone who waited for her loved one even in the army that's enough to gather ire). Rather than makin her waste her time with even more confusing actions...at least that's what I would've prefered I think, tho still enjoy the story :v

@JWChibi No offence taken.

Its the same for us honestly. I look at black dudes and don't know how old they are. My parents couldn't with europeans either. However we are able to easily guess the age of the people from our own skin colour. It has to do with the part of the brain in charge of recognition, you need to be used to see people from a certain race to be able to tell.

It's not like this series is in short supply of it, though.

@JWChibi That's true, but only for people who are not asian themselves. They can recognize the subtle differences of age between themselves, while it would not be very clear for a foreigner.
