There shouldn't be any drama here, it's all made up for the plot, maybe the author is trying to force the relationship with the mom through this "hardship". If that's the case then this is the most disappointing thing I've read.

@Spookie Yeah, I've started to recognize them by profile picture as someone who isn't worth reading. Might be time to block 'em before they can change that picture and I don't automatically skim right over them. They're not the only person that seems to think killing all the fictional characters you don't like is the perfect solution though, so I'd lean towards them being 100% serious. You get a lot of them in stuff like shounen action series in particular, since the protagonists are always pulling their punches and shit.

@Spookie I reckon is far more complicated than that. He must love his father, and his father is probably the last person he has, in his perspective.
