@Leo80221 It's a variation of the highest level of swordsmanship, No Sword-style. This variant being the "Anything counts as being a sword as long as I consider it a sword"-style.

The guild leader isnt going to mention how he handled a top raited sword user with a wooden stick while she was going full out with her katana which again, should of sliced though that stick like a hot knife in butter had it not been the MC.

I would of probably shiat in my pants if someone was able to block a high grade bladed weapon with a wooden stick.

I guess he is never going to let go of the wooden stick, as magicians all use staff's and wands, and its probably what the MC has in his image of a magician.

@aigomorla I think it's more like why waste money on a sword when even a random stick picked up from somewhere does the job? Even with his abilities making this stick work just fine, it'll probably suffer from wear and tear over time. A real weapon would need maintenance and eventually replacement, all at a cost. A stick can be discarded and replaced with some other random stick.
