Because it's inherently an unusual situation. She wasn't molested, but people around her were thinking about doing it. They didn't do it, so we can't really say they attacked her, especially because they couldn't possibly know that she could intrude upon their private thoughts.

Meanwhile homeboy thinks she was touched, and she can't say she was because she'd be lying; but she also can't say she wasn't because he'd think she's lying. And she sure as hell can't just say she can read minds.
