I like it but the story seems to be losing me with all the shift in tone and setting or maybe it’s just me...

The story is going from basic isekai to more of a man vs god type story. I kinda like it but I really wish they could explain the gluttony and god eater thing better cause it's hella confusing.

@Esperantos I think this is how it goes:

1) Beelzebub - "Dark/Divine" ability, double-edged sword, consumes both the target and the user (Ryuuto) at the same time.
2) Beelzebub gets activated, God Eater kicks in, "consumes/seals" all Divine-based spells and abilities targeted at the user into their body, letting them be able to use Beelzebub immediately again.
3) God Eater creates excess energy that the user's body can't handle when sealing, would normally destroy it outright
4) Dragon's King ring takes the energy and uses it back on God Eater to keep it balance with Beelzebub.

TL;DR: Basically Ryuuto has made a magical black hole that uses its targets for fuel, and he gets to use the target's abilities as a bonus.

Think when some novels capitalize a word.

Like, from a Practical Guide to Evil
name (a person's name or title)
vs
Name ( an empowered title granted to/gained by someone)

This chapter felt brutally abridged. It went practically from a few ogres appearing out of nowhere to attack Koharu specifically into a full war with armies of ogres everywhere.

Yeah, there was definitely something wrong with this chapter. Not with the translation, but the story itself. There was just such a sudden shift in tone and theme, and the story seemed to skip lots of background info that would be required to actually understand what is happening. One moment they're in a training exercise, then MC is talking to God, and then suddenly an invasion?? Somehow the story now revolves around the character they just introduced?

This manga loves to skip all the important bits because the reader doesn't care about that sorta thing. 25th chapter in and this is it? Whew someone is out of ideas, talk about getting the axe soon.
