Honestly? I'd prefer if this was the formula with the focus of the chapters being the people MC interacts with and with MC being a bit of a Deus Ex who solves problems.

It's definitely not a formula for everyone, but it's one that I could see this series heading towards and wouldn't mind shifting to.
