Mushoku no Eiyuu - Vol. 1 Ch. 3

@Cyoteblack
That's where you're wrong. It clearly shows that there's a big distinction between people with a job who train and those who didn't. From the very first couple of chapters they showed exactly that. 3 kids with the same jobs but the 2 with no experience are extremely weaker than the one who had actually trained.

It's not about applying real world logic to a manga. It's about having consistency in the rules of this manga and in this one, they are not

Try again :)

@Bramia

Yet he trained himself to this level without a teacher. He even told his rival that he learned their technique and improved on it. His own mother told him that she got strong by practicing everyday. The manga opens up with him talking about hard work.

@Bramia i see the connection to Log Horizon situation in that situation, like the players had "Cooking" Skill, they activated it, but the dish produced was barely eatable, and you could get only decent food if you ACTUALLY cook it by hand. Its like an easy way for skill users here - they have powerful abilities, they train/level up then unlock even stronger ones, but they don't understand the depth of way of the sword as itself because of it.

@Ashen_Mask
That's actually a good point, but the difference is these people have been living in this world all their lives, for god knows how many generations. They aren't modern world people who were suddenly transported into a world were they could only use skills and because of that were led to believe they couldn't use anything else. After some time passes, people realize talent alone doesn't beat effort, no matter when, no matter what; just like in log horizon they realized they could make burgers the old way

I talked about no thought of world building because this story is told as if the world had started a generation or two before the MC was born which is absurd

wait, so it isn't that he is simple good at sword, he can perfectly copy skills with a bit of time involved? is he Kakashi? LOL

You know what "Jobless" is also called? 0

It can be the lowest number and the highest number in anything. Having infinite potential that most don't see it.

haha this story is awesome. I bet he really loves being jobless. Nothing given to him, all skills earned.

Congratu-f*cking-lations! You did the keikaku meme. Why not just translate it to movement skill or something?

It's not about the class, it's about plot. If you're a girl chances are you'll be a damsel no matter what your abilities are and if you're special in any way odds are you're an MC (or one of the group of MC) and you won't give a crap against much stronger enemies with hard work and preserverance hidden power and plot armor.

Boring...Overcome his 'classless' status with effort? Where is the effort? I certainly don't see it in this story.
