Mushoku no Eiyuu - Vol. 3 Ch. 17

What do you mean irrational? Isn't it obvious thing to do? What was the original japanese word?

Page 22 seems to mark the first time in the story that a character is critically thinking about MC's rank and classes in general. I think most so far just simply underestimated him or accepted him as abnormal.
Maybe this could lead to a change in world view? For the MC's sake, it'd be great if the 6 academies merged into 1. There's probably no reason any mage couldn't learn any spell, so maybe him taking the tests will make them realize that.

This is the level of OP tedium that most isekai fantasy series can only dream of attaining. Funnily enough most of them tend to have some loose sort of plot along the way.
This is about the level of Re:Monster though, in that all that ever happens is the protagonist just gets stronger and stronger and savages more and more opponents easily... with the bonus feature that any remotely interesting character gets removed from the "story" periodically to keep the focus on the boring-as-fuck protag. Like it is actually teasing that something interesting might happen, then suddenly "TOO BAD, TEDIUM-TIME!"... There genuinely is no plot. Just a dull bastard going "I'm gonna learn this skill"-timeskip-"I mastered this skill".

I think I'm actually in danger of falling asleep from the boredom.
