@Jobslayer thats the point, its a reminder that he was a trash in his past life. It's not like he instantly turned into a completely different person with a different personality when he got reincarnated. He was still the trash neet fat dude, just that he's in the process of changing.
@Sweet_Seats Oh no u misunderstnd, i have no problems with the flashbacks except the author really like to remind us how he looks back then, like POV shots or maybe even just monologues is enough but the author really likes reminding us how he looked like
Its like, "Hey everyone we're gonna do another flashback but here let me remind u how ugly and fat he was in case u forgotten"
@Jobslayer because that's literally the point of the show? Its an isekai redo theme where the mc is the lowest of the lowest who was trying his best to be a better person in his isekai life. If you throw away his old look and personality then the entire premise would be pointless. Thats why the author keeps reminding us reader that "the mc is a neet trash who is trying to be a better person in his new isekai life " instead of like showing an entirely new mc with no connection to his past life what so ever.
Unlike other isekai where their past life is just a throwable plot device, the MC's past life in this story is essential for the plot.
I DONT HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THAT, WHAT I DO HAVE PROBLEMS ON IS WHY THE AUTHOR KEEPS SHOWING HIS OLD DESIGN AGAIN AND AGAIN. SIMPLE MONOLOGUES OR POV SHOTS IS ENOUGH TO MAKE THE POINT.
get it now? let's end this here cause this is meaningless
@Jobslayer because the author would use that appearance of his as a plot device aka
When he's meeting that cringey god in a mental world, he would look like his fat self, and down to the end of the story he would appear as rudy in the mental world because he already changed
