They are only telling where she is - on the Desert continent, complete opposite to where Rudy is atm. After Rudy's talk with his father on how he is having it leasurely without making any hard efforts finding Zephyr, his father will tell him to take care of himself, and leave rescuing his mother to him. Thus, he decides to enroll into the school.

Distancing yourself from those you love to "get stronger" or whatever is a terrible idea... you never knew anything about your kids because you never spent any time with them...

By the time they reunite Rudeus will have his own life (even a kid with another one on the way) and all Eris was working for seems to be for nothing. Redemption is spoiler: However this is a fantasy story, so when she returns to him (he wrote her a letter asking to join him, he investigated and knew after a time where Eris was - this is where its most obviously a bad writing and that Eris is just a convenient plot device to save Rudy, sadly ) its just the exact time he is having his rematch with Orsted and she will not be a burden for him. And this is the exact reason why she will be accepted back. Because it's only fantasy. :-)

That's why these novels are written by young adults who still have hope for life and are not distracted by it's reality. :-) Or should I say, this is why it's called wishfulfilling literature.

Very nice argument. Our Jenny here however wised up pretty early and instead of showing her trashy side, went far on a training spree to be able to face his Forest guiltless. Quite the opposite approach imo.

they will get together later after a lot of Rudi shenanigens (meanwhile all Eris is doing is training swords) when Rudi is meeting Orsted the 2nd time. Afterwards Eris becomes the best waifu ever (subjective fact, I'm not a pedophile, sry).

@Reimos She is not mentally challenged, she is simple minded. In the most good-willed sense of meaning. She set her mind on something, and goes forward in life to achieve it. But god, that was a badly written letter by author so he can justify Rudy's next acts. :-)
You are missing the point of what would have really happened if Eris wrote a normal letter...

After coming back to Rudy and seeing he already has 2 wives, Rudy would have been cut down instantly. This fact is subtly mentioned in the plot too when Rudy writes a letter to Eris much much later.

story goes onto the future, she is so goddamn faithful, her life, her sword, her everything is for rudeus only. even in other time line where Rudeus become half-crazed with revenge she is the only one that keep following Rudeus till the end, even laying her life only to bring back Rudeus from insanity.
Ofc the other two wife also faithful, but the level of Eris dedication just on other level.

It ain't something he can fix in an adaptation either, since it would require a rewrite of basically everything that comes after this chapter, but this will always hang over Eris head now.
