Honestly, the Eris misunderstanding is pretty sensible. People keep forgetting that with his past life, he gets all the baggage that came with it.
He gets the baggage of thinking people think badly of him innately. He has a relatively subservient attitude in order to have an easygoing life.

Basically this is one of the few isekais where the protagonist brings bad traits he had from when he was alived. It's why it's called Mushoku Tensei.

Also on page 11 if anyone is wondering why she says that he stinks. It's because she can smell his lust.

For anyone wondering about the localisation of 'Fuck you', that's been done since you can omit the subject in Japanese.
She could be saying 'Fuck' by its lonesome, but given the context, it's more likely directly pointed at Rudy in this case.
The 'nano' suffix to the 'fakku' in the WN TL is just a characterisation thing that doesn't TL well.

I haven't gotten round to reading the novels, but I'll likely aim to TL where the 'Fuck' is directed towards based on the context in each instance.
