It remember me that even before this arc, the worst 3 chapters of all 1-50 so far was... the introduction of Ariel and Fittz.
That was just an appetizer of what was to come...
Hopefully, i can tell without spoilers that by the end this arc and fowards, the history come back to "HIPER motherfucker drama, MEGA tragedy, ULTRA PLUS action, adventure around the continents and REALLY more fucking drama that will make you furious and CRY A LOT<<

I'm not mad. You seemed a little petty is all. Couldn't fault my logic, so you wrote paragraphs dismissing the example. A simple "that example is wrong" would suffice.
Well, you sure aren't a linguist. You don't even know the definitions of 'responsibility' and 'consequence', after all. That has been the bulk of our disagreement, not some difference of opinion on reasoning.

Again, I don't give a shit about why, only that she chose this and needs to live with the consequences. @cor3zone I said it's basically the same for the scale and many circumstances considering the peasants actually being a part of the reasoning why some wars were waged with them even supporting it and some mindset of the many of them back then, it's not far off the mark. I've literally said that taking "responsibilities" like I was using it is going to apply to situations like those. Calling someone a fool for knowing his stuff is kind of hilarious though.
If I sounded petty (even though I'm not), then you'll just have to excuse me since I've seen and heard those examples and its variations thrown around more times than I'd wish to (granted, on differing topics) and I doubt saying "I'm a professional and your example is invalid" would've been productive either. There's also the fact that since I've heard those things thrown around a lot that I wished to correct such ignorance so it ended up with that length. Believe it or not, I've already cut down a lot in that paragraph because of how many things I've listed but I'd rather not turn this into one of my lectures in the university. I'm simply passionate about what I do and you'd be able to see many professionals act the same way if the topics of their studies were bastardized like it was with history.

If you decide something while considering me but I don't actually get a say in the matter, I am not responsible for your decision. Unless the princess makes the decision for Sylphie, she is not responsible.

Consequence: "a result of something that has happened, especially an unpleasant result"
Those are the Oxford University definitions. The king has responsibility; he is to blame. The peasant faces the consequence; he has to live with the result. Sylphie has responsibility for her decision, the princess faces the consequence. It's literally that simple. My example was wrong, but your logic was wrong in this instance.

They don't take responsibility; they suffer the consequences. The king has all the authority, all the responsibility. The only way the peasants would be responsible, is if they revolted against the king and went to war by their own decision. Literally, by being subjects they hand all of the responsibility for major decisions to the king. Like the princess handed responsibility for this single decision to Sylphie by giving permission.

@cor3zone Yes, continue using kings and peasants as examples when you've been shown to be inept at it multiple times now. For someone so passionate about logic, you sure don't use it effectively. Edit: I realised I probably should clarify, for your sake. There are two definitions of responsibility. If you have responsibility, you have a duty to do something. Like your example, the peasants have a duty to follow through with the king's decision. If you take responsibility, i.e. literally what you wrote: "they take responsibility", you are to blame for something. Those are two separate things. Cultural context doesn't factor into it at all, since we are living in the present using modern definitions of words. Repeat, we are discussing right now, not in your precious history. If the word changed meaning, you adapt to modern meanings.
Also, seeing as I actually conceded when I was wrong, but you didn't despite being proven blatantly wrong, I wonder who is stuck in a "little Dunning-Kruger bubble"?
