Seriously not even going to listen to her? Anyone with half a brain would consider that the criminal wouldn't just waltz up to the desk with stolen loot now right? Author sneaking in what people want is nice. Nicely colored pages too.
@Therealoddone is it the same studio that is doing Tower of God? or just the same style?
also i think they are gonna blame her coz she got some money, so they will think she did it, the lil dude will try to help but wont be able to do much, hell i think her roommate is the one thats gonna save her
But yeah, characters who imprison the guy who did nothing wrong and was actually trying to return stolen goods is a common trope.
Reminds me of Thundercats 2011, when the kittens tried to return a wallet and the guy called the guards on them for stealing it.
Can't you see I have brought you the item you're missing? Had I stolen it, I wouldn't be presenting the item to you, would I?
That trope is infuriating, but very effective in making the audience sympathize with the character suffering the prejudice!
@lenovoaxioo I'm pretty sure they do have a brain and they just found someone who stumbled on their money making scam. I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out the librarians are in cahoots with the thieves and just need to get her out of the way.
