Musume no Tomodachi - Vol. 4 Ch. 33 - Time Capsule

Huff at first I wonder wth Koto wanna do with Kousuke, but man poor kid she is with parents like that :(

These two, are really miserable people. I hope they find happiness and the stupid mother and retarded daughter find doom.

@Bladestone I suspect that her mother would still be insane enough to attempt to piece those tiny bits of paper together, although her success is probably close to nil.

@relic626 Koto's case is risky too, being a young girl alone at night. There was no assurance that Kosuke would run to her if she contacted him, after all. The difference is that staying behind is guaranteed to end poorly for her unlike Miya. Miya also ran away because her biases are making her misunderstand her father's intentions, while Koto did so because she knew very well just what her mother's intentions were.

run forest run , im really feel sorry for the father hope he get good thing happen to him in the end

Oh shit, are we reaching a climax? I didn't think it at the beginning, but now I genuinely hope things work out for the two of them.

Fuck Miya.

Thanks for translating this! Ya'll even took the time to translate the letter :) appreciate it so much!

The more I read, the less I am able to decide who I want to be happy by the end of this manga...

Kosuke ruining his chances with Honma still pisses me off. Maybe it's because it reminds me of times when I've been socially awkward and self-sabotaged potential friendships and relationships by saying or doing dumb shit because I'm worried how others see me. So many regrets because a good friend/man/woman is hard to find...

And him running to find Koto just feels like going back to an ex that you know isn't good for you in the long run. I hope in this story that finding support from Koto will help MC, but I feel like in real life it never works out that way. Your ex is your ex for good reason...

@Candymon
What chances? He neveer sought anything with her, in fact, he was just being once again a pushover for Honma's whims which lead to the conflict to her daughter, had he just said "No, I don't want to go to that place" he could have avoided it, his push over naturo got him there. That's also why Honmwas was so awkward afterwards, she felt guilt.

Awesome fucking job translating the ripped up paper and stitching it together like y'all did on the page. That's some grade A work. Nice job! Thanks for the scans.

@Kuroageha
I totally agree with you that his decision to bring Honma to the café basically brings his chances down to nil. Honma, however, is the only person introduced in the manga so far that's an adult and also shows any interest in Kosuke (as heavily implied from ch 20 when she is introduced and up until the big incident in ch 26 when she defends him against his daughter). The one seemingly societally acceptable route out of this mess is there, but he doesn't know she's interested in him and then subsequently ruins any chance of even going down that path. But the path exists, even if only briefly. And unfortunately, the author uses this one potential path out (Honma) and Kosuke's pushover personality/stupidity (probably doesn't help that he's been drinking and deep down he wants to see Kisaragi) to instead crush our hopes of salvation for Kosuke, bringing more drama and suffering upon him.

After the incident in ch 26-27, Honma does feel guilty for causing harm to Kosuke's relationship with his daughter (plus the dramatic irony of how Honma defends Kosuke, just rubbing salt into his wounds because he hasn't been acting like a good father/person) and also probably creeped out that he's in love with his JK daughter's friend (Honma also probably thought Kisaragi was someone of age). Furthermore, because she's a new employee that could have potentially helped him at work, the straining of this workplace relationship only adds to the pile of Kosuke's burdens.

Thanks for the translation. Do you guys plan on continuing this series? As I think manga sushi have dropped it.
