Musume no Tomodachi - Vol. 5 Ch. 37 - Anonymous Complaint

@MrBeaver That's really not the case. An accusation like that would have HR looking everywhere for an excuse to fire you, because whether true of not, an accusation alone is enough to damage the reputation of the company. Not only that, but HR would have reason to exist as a department by dealing with such a claim. While it's unlikely he'd be fired on the basis of the accusation, there are usually laws against that, 'letting him go' due to poor performance is very much within the law. So too is placing pressure on him enough to cause him to quit. The accusation would give impetus for greater scrutiny, higher expectations, and harsher reprimand.

The fact is, people don't tend to send anonymous emails containing accusations of child abuse, so when one appears it is a bit of a big deal.

Realistically speaking, HR probably wouldn’t find this much of a threat unless there was any public outcry for this.

I mean, she's a crazy bitch, but she ain't wrong. A 40 years old spending a lot of time alone with a high school girl? That's a big yikes for me.

Yeah we know that the relation is platonic and that there wasn't any kind of sexual activity, but nobody else knows that. Our boy is rightfully screwed.

@jazz9 Stating facts? She made an accusation of child sexual abuse, not unwisely spending time with a teenager. He literally did not break any law, he only hurt feelings. And as for crazy, that mother is a pick-and-mix of cluster B disorders and a danger to others.

@MrBeaver I think he's gonna deny it but they will start asking his colleagues, which leads to that one office girl. She hates people who lives outside the norm, kinda like him rn, so she just might snitch out of some bs sense of justice

Bruh just run away from it all. At this point it looks like the entire world is out to get you.

the lass should've had these:

everybody needs a therapy session

I'd say she should talk to her daughter about it...but when she tried, the daughter ran away.

Yeah the mom is overbearing, but she has a right to be worried, because Ichikawa isn't doing the right thing when it comes to her daughter.

She should probably go to the police instead of trying to get him fired though.

@HOOfan_1 Not really, reading previous chapters it was clearly seen that mother abuses her daughter. Even in this chapter, taking away shoes, locking her daughter in her home for 2-3 months. How is that not abuse?
That girl is high school student, it is clear that she isn't really mature enough to date adults but the one to blame for that is her mother, not MC, his daughter or girl herself.
So I can't agree with you when you defend abusive parents.

Good lord I'm not looking at the comment sections of this manga again I might go crazy. Imagine defending the mother's actions, take your fucking meds.
