Musume no Tomodachi - Vol. 5 Ch. 41 - Two Way Street

Too much hate on dad. The story does a pretty good job of showing how tough both of their situations are. I just want them both to be happy.

I guess I was one chapter too early KEKW so again

So close. Now she's probably going to hide while the coworker is there, he'll be super nervous because of it, maybe something happens between the two of them or not but she'll definitely notice the rain on the floor. At this point we're just waiting to see how bad the crash is.

You really know the story telling's great when you can feel the chemistry and tensions two characters have without any written dialogue.

I still standby MC and don't think he's done anything wrong. Everyone seems upset at him, but honestly he's not the instigator for any of this and she's not a child as much as someone in late teens/early adulthood. All he's done is kiss her. He is not a shitbag by any means nor is he scummy or immoral in his action in my opinion. He doesn't deserve the backlash.

@Tamerlane @Ultimaniac
Pretty much summarizes how I feel about this story and its characters. There's way too much flak towards both the MCs.

Of course Koto came to see him, because she felt like it. She's not gonna start thinking of the consequences, it's beyond her grasp, and she's desperate and lost and is going through hell at home. How can anyone blame her? As for Kousuke, of course he's the adult of the situation, but how much difference is there mentally when you're an adult, the reality is no matter what people want to believe very little. He's also completely distraught and trying to reconcile all the opposing tides of his situation and he's equally lost and desperate. He clearly fell in love with the girl even though it goes against everything he knows. She pops out of nowhere and climbs on him to steal a kiss. Try to imagine what the correct reaction/outcome to this situation is? Is there even one? How to go against what your whole being tells you to do?

I don't see any easy answer to this! That's also what makes this read interesting!

I like them as a couple, as long as the relationship stays wholesome.
If he really loves her wholeheartedly, he should be able to shoot down her advances and wait until she's not a minor anyone.
That's not even a handful of years.

After that, anything's a-ok.

Damnit! Now he can be charged! Before, he technically did nothing wrong. But now, if she goes psycho on him, she can use this to ruin his life. Should have just waited 2 years for her to be a legal adult.
