I'm starting get a better picture of kotos character she knows her moms abusive but accepts it because shes scared to break off there relationship for her mothers sake. So she accepts it.

Also I think she genuinely cares about the dad but shes conflicted because she doesnt want to go against the mother. She was happy with how the relationship was where the dad served as her escape from the mother.

I'm assuming she's going to miya to apologize and say shes ending the relationship with the dad.
