I like how their situations parallels one another, but the difference is that Koto faces her mother, despite her not knowing her parental side, whereas Miya can't face her father despite only knowing his.

I think the wounds on his face kinda symbolize the scars he has from trying to have a relationship with Koto and now he looks ugly in her eyes, despite him earning them from ultimately protecting Koto.

It's weird, some people here seems like tp believe series only end when it's axed if they don't have 1500 chapters.

It's obviously a natural end, it wasn't the type of story to go for 100 chapters, you only have a MC with 1 Love interest and the drama between them.

It's not a romcom where you can put dozens of fillers chapters.
