This broke my heart a little, I'm weak to see broken mother-child relationships. Because they are so heart to properly heal they are probably the closest persons to you and the one you want to relay the most so the inflicted wounds tend to be deeper. Specially when they used to have such a nice and loving relationship in the past it's even more tragic.

Maybe it's just because of all the other dumb chapters but I felt nothing at this chapter. If they wanted to make this more of a touching moment then maybe don't show her (the mom) as an icy bitch for the entire series and then pull out a "she really does care" at the last second.
