I am all for open endings. It suited My Boy because the author knew how to write compelling characters. Not that we don't have compelling characters here, we have 2 people here who are broken by both the people around them and have no outlet to vent their frustrations but finding each other does that no matter how taboo their relationship is. I was hoping for a suitable resolution like the one in After The Rain and heck I would have taken an open ending modeled after My Boy but what we got was an open ending where both of the characters profuse their love for each other and head their own way. And the dad doesn't seem like he wants to mend his relationship with his daughter. Honestly what a letdown. I had high hopes for this series.
