@scarlet_summer I think the author does not wrote well enough to convey the key message that Harold in nothing near any death flag right now, as he is supposed to be a semi-last boss of the main story.

Currently, we are at around 8 years before the beginning of the main story and Harold is already stronger than most of character in the game.
The closest actual death flag of Harold will be after a time skip when he went on an expedition which is very far from this chapter (should be around 7-8 chapters).

So I guess my comment last chapter that went "man either the investigator is stupid for asking for her by her real name, or she's stupid for using her real name while in hiding" landed on the latter.

Man, I guess it's needed for the plot to progress without dillydallying, but it feels real goofy that someone who had their death faked + got relocated decided to just keep using their old name.

@GreeneValley It's still pretty damn slow though. I caught up the translated chapter few years ago (around 80s I think?), then when I check back now, it is still around 110s. Having new 40s chapters for 3 years is "slow" imo.

Don't think it is near the end of story. It's probs still around 2/3 part of the story if the author doesn't rush the ending. The main problem is how to end MC's and Erica's drama, because you need few arcs to make fix their relationship (clear misunderstanding, build up romantic relationship, etc). Well, if he just wants to leave as is, then yeah it's probs near the end of story.

The novel is in the 2nd last art
It'll be the part where mc will discover the floating castle to the final arena bos fight of the game
So means were are already at the 2nd last arc now
But yeah the author said it'll take some time for this arc as he's focusing on the manga right now

Looks like the slow down happened with book 5 (supposedly the planned final book IIRC), with up to 6 months in between chapters

As for Erica MC drama, for their relationship I thought book 3 Itsuki bodyguard arc already started the work, and then continued with their subsequent meeting and team up, and fight. All it takes now is clearing the misunderstandings, where Lifa has started as well.. a few chapters at best, IMO

@analbreach if someone asked you about something that could get you killed you would also be intimidated right? Since like she thought to her self "he would've already attacked when i said my name". But it is also worrying when they question you about your savior, since you probably wouldn't want to put someone in danger that saved your life, most people would be intimidated by some random guy appearing out of no where asking questions like that.
