lol i feel no sympathy for this MC 
He claims he hate what his family does but never actually bother to know if they really are a bad organization, only believe ppl claim and one sided ignore his entire family lose everything then lead to poverty.
But nope, being called name by "children in gradeschool" and "one" case of ppl claim they do bad is enough to make MC ignore everything related to HIS OWN FAMILY for around a decade? Sure has the high ground there eh?

@nureha Thinking you killed someone while a child can be a bit traumatic don’t you think? It’s understandable that he is a bit blinded especially since even if they are not pure evil, they still are a clan. And moreover he’s still young, with manga and such we seems to think that 20 is an already very mature age, but it’s really not

I disagree with that. He does not hate his family, he just always rejected his position as the clan heir after what happened. It’s clear from the world building of this story (if you look at Chen Ge and Lu Ren Jia) that being clan heir is a lot of responsibility and can be a very dangerous position. Chen Ge has assassins sent after her by the Si Mo Si clan to kill her in the forest trial.
For me, it’s understandable that Zhang Nan wants to run way from that position.
It is stated in Chapter 28 that he is aware that the murder was not done by his family, even though he believed that as a child. Because, well, kids are kids.
And losing the house was his grandfather’s and father’s decision. They sold the house for Zhang Nan’s sake but without asking him or telling him.
I think his guardians are sort of the real clown here. They sacrificed a lot for his sake, but did so without asking him, and expect him to appreciate what they’ve done. I don’t really like that part, even if they say they’re just doing what they think is best for him.

... Would the name "my girlfriend is a mobster/mob boss" be incorrect? Like, if the show had that name, then in would make more sense
@SoLei that includes his Aunt who told him he would be happier at a school full of kids from Clans. The guy is facing death on a constant basis....and he is even being bullied and ostracized by everyone but 3 girls and a single guy. How is that different than going to a normal school...except at a normal school, he is less likely to be killed.
Heck, the aunt actually has a house...why isn't he living with her if she cares so much about him? Seems to me the aunt just wants him to take over the clan, and doesn't really care about what he wants.

God these people are real pieces of shit. That whole thing about accepting your clan's way if your born into it is bogus. How many times has a son dethroned and usurped their father, changing things to suit their own tastes? It's quite common actually, and even if there is no insurrection, they'll split and form their own group,
