@darekpawlo I can answer that. In a previous translator's note, Lei has explicitly told us that this is a Manhua more focused on character growth and Zhang Nan's development. As far as I can tell, the Romance tag is somewhat misleading, but I haven't read ahead at all, so perhaps there may be romance up ahead?

Just like someone mentioned about the romance being slow, the prodigy returning will be even slower. He has moments but not until the more latter raws will it be manifested into real actual badassery. One other thing. The author looooooooooooooooooooves flashbacks.
