My Home Hero - Vol. 5 Ch. 35 - A Family of Our Own

They should rename this "Anxiety: The Manga."

I don't think I'll survive the next couple of chapters.

Re: father's speech, I think what he's saying is that in order to uphold the image of the police as the symbol of justice and security, sacrifices are made, and in that accident he tried to do the right thing and prevent further damage to the drivers behind him at the cost of forgoing the attempt to save his own and his wife's lives (apparently, that didn't work out).

I’m happy that I bought the books that are available in French, those cliffhangers are deadly.

That was a ballsy play from Tetsuo there. He was basically riding the momentum here, throwing out lie after lie knowing Takeda is more inclined to believe him after last chapter. But things could have seriously gone south for him if there was no money, or if the Nobuto's girl lied or was mistaken. Even then, it still has a very real chance of blowing up in his face.

@Tersione yeap, it was a hell of a gamble for Tetsuo, I feel like he could have taken a less risky path instead of going all in on 'Nobuto being a traitor'.

@XXXXXXXXXIII That's true. But at the same time, he didn't have a lot of information nor room to maneuver himself considering the leash the syndicate has on him. Taking too long to find a less risky route might be too risky in itself, especially if the rate of riskiness is only slightly lesser than this ploy to paint Nobuto as a traitor.

HOLY
FUCKING
SHIT.

My poor heart can't take this.

And man just what's up with Kansen's family?

@Fri
@Ryomi
I believe they are Kasen's side of the family is incredibly wealthy. I can't remember why this is all happening in the first place in regards to details, but If I'm remembering this correctly they wanted to get the daughter in hopes of getting money from her grandpa who owns a company or some shit. I'm guessing Gramps and family are your typical hardass rich zaibatsu types.

@Bengon

Well, considering that they almost killed Tetsuo (an average man with average job) for daring to ask the hand of Kansen in marriage, and that neither Tetsuo nor Kansen want to ask them for help despite all the shit they went through during the week, there's the possibility that they are even worse than the syndicate.

Keep piling up this mountain of lies it's gonna collapse soon Tetsuo. It's like playing Jenga final rounds lol.

I think it's already inevitable rn, but I really hope Kyoichi wont die :/. its either that or he grows to hold the biggest grudge of all time against Tetsuo in the future, and tbh that's pretty bad too, if not annoying. And damn, I often forget that Kasen's family is literally part of the mob. Explains why she has such balls of steel too lol
