@Gladiator02 : where does it say he did not know about it? All I am seeing is him asking his brother if he can learn, and not knowing if he was allowed to.
If Magic is hoarded by the nobility, like page 6 explicitly says it is, then the commoners would not have detailed knowledge of it and would not know if there are rules within noble houses for who is allowed to learn and who is not. The 5th son of a 3rd gen noble who has not earned a extension on their peerage could easily be forbidden from trying since they could be demoted to commoner status.

@krispy well, he's trying to blend in as Liam, so there is a degree he is aware he needs to act like a child, also; if ima be honest, id gets hyped up if there was a chance to use magic when we come from a world where it's impossible. So I get it.
