@nobodygattaknow well she was living as a servant, and children need a steady diet to get all the nutrients they need to promote proper growth, so chances are her growth's been stunted a bit (that actually was a plot point in another manhwa "The Monster Duchess and Contract Princess". the main character was also 12 at the start of the series and was far shorter and leaner than most her age due to basically being treated as a slave and servant by her family. another possibility is she's just naturally short, it's not uncommon or anything. (though yea her standing next to him makes her seem a lot younger)
