@Gunchakid Indeed. Necessary sex scenes, like in the Bond movies, are much better. That being said, it applies to everything: Good movies have no unnecessary scenes. When working on good material, it can be a problem for the director to decide which necessary scenes to keep. For example, Return of the King had too many necessary scenes, and even after cutting some away, it was still well over three hours (the theater version).
