from what I got there is also a good deal of incompetence mixed in there, starting at the priests who went to pick them up. But ya the sister can not really be blamed, since her parents spoiled her and then others doubled down on it and removed anyone who did not appease her for to long. It seemed she was never maliciousness, and just never asked why people stopped showing up.
