I don't think the author means that Kou loves Yuki only because of crossdressing. I think that Kou loves Yuki for who he is as a person, but Yuki being a man is a problem for Kou because he isn't sexually interested in men, and yet he's willing to put that aside to be with Yuki. So Yuki is in turn willing to make things easier for Kou by emulating a woman.
